but enough of that.
my lord of the rings party was good fun. we laughed and cried and talked about how badly all the hobbits want to do each other. you know it's true. it was a nice, small get together with good people that i actually like to be around (for the most part) and it turned out well. yay, LOTR.
i cannot stop thinking about brown. i cannot wait to get away. no parents, no curfew, very few rules (all of which will easily be broken), and an oppurtunity to sit and talk philosophy and watch movies for three hours everyday. for three weeks. only a few more days, and i'm there. i'm so there.
oh, and there was a small earthquake in northern illinois this morning at 1:11. i was awake, watching secret window (which wasn't very good), when i felt some rumbling. i thought it was just my brother in the room next to mine moving some furniture. there was one big rumble, and then a few smaller ones, then another big one, and finally a couple more small ones. it lasted about a minute or two. i didn't know it was an earthquake into three in the morning when there was a special report about it. it was 4.5 on the richter scale and the center was in ottawa, illinois (i have no idea where that is). i was really supprised because i didn't even know that earthquakes occured in the midwest and it was not huge or scary. i had a slight feeling that maybe it wasn't my brother when it first happened when the rumbling was continuous, not like jagged like when someone is moving things. so that explained the oddness earlier that morning. interesting.
